*NEW* Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics: Stained Gloss & Sci-Fi Lullabies Collection

Oh baby if just going to the Makeup Show wasn’t enough all of my favorite brands one of them being Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is coming out with products to make your smile permanent or stained to say the least. The LIP TAR: STAINED GLOSS is an exciting new texture option that combines the pigment power of LIP TAR with a  glossy finish ready to go anywhere and best of all after its long shelf life on your lips you’ll have some color left behind. Fabulous right!?  LIP TAR: STAINED GLOSS can be worn alone or layered over your favorite existing shades for added depth, and dimension that puts other long wear lip glosses to shame. Can’t wait to get my hands on some.

Sam Fine for Fashion Fair Event

A few weeks after introducing you to the amazing Sam Fine For Fashion Fair Supreme Collection I was invited out to an official launch of the collection and surprise surprise Mr. Fine himself was in the building! This was a low key, relaxed event where a group of bloggers were able to swatch and look at the collection intimately. Sam shared his faves in the collection, the process of creating it, and what is on the horizon for Fashion Fair as their creative director.

I’m already sold on the collection but why should you purchase it? One Word: SAM FINE! No but seriously the lipsticks are moisturizing and pigmented to the heavens and the two palettes are simply perfect for every woman. The packaging… lets talk about how luxe it is and still the collection is affordable. Dare I say, it this is the first time Fashion Fair has really appealed to the younger masses in forty years.

Sam Fine is a makeup artist so he isn’t just making a product to sell but something that pros can use that lives up to high standards a brown that reads that way on the darkest of complexions, a highlighter color that is magnificent and not chalky, bold colors that pop… I can go on and on but I won’t the collection speaks for itself. Sam Fine also shared that there will be more colors added so this is going to be a growing collection. Seems to me Fashion Fair can only continue to go up up from here  Awesome!  Up next, a tutorial on three looks with the Alfami Coast palette so stay tuned.

Review: Urban Decay The Vice Palette

Hello UD Vice I’ve been waiting for you

ok people so it’s official I’m in love… with the Urban Decay Vice Palette. It is the first time in a very long time that I’ve crooned over a UD palette since the third book of shadows (4th one was a complete flop).  With all the chatter going on in makeup groups and forums about this amazing palette with beautiful blues (Chaos and Unhinged) there was no way we could miss out on the action.  Without further delay here are my thoughts on the palette and why this is a great gift for this holiday season.

Pros

  • First things first this palette is light years ahead in terms of packaging finally a non cardboard exterior which means I’m less likely to depot this baby.
  • the colors are a lot different from the previous palettes in UD history
  • huge mirror which makes this a great travel palette
  • the colors blend beautifully
  • color payoff is amazing dry and wet forget about it its pop pop pop!

Cons

  • Though known for their bright colors I wish secretly for more of a mixture of nudes and color in one place ( worse case scenario bring your naked palette series with you)
  • those glitters would of loved to see more mattes but hey  a girl can dream and hope for it in the next palette
  • the brush included is so so quality, a decent shadow brush and horrible shader brush

Final Thoughts

Merli says Get it! The colors are amazing, great color pay off, your ability to do a wide array of looks are endless with this palette. It’s worth the money and certainly won’t let you down.

Here are the beautiful swatches from L to R Desperation, Muse, Jagged, Blitz, Penny Lane, Junkie, Chaos, Occupy, Unhinged, Black Market, Provocateur, Rapture, Vice, Noise, Armor, Nevermind, Echo Beach, Anonymous, Freebird, Laced

Will you be picking up this palette or leaving it on the shelves?
